the brisbane

yummy, i have never had a bad pizza from this place, and the variety is great, i often go there on Thursday lunch, have pizza and a beer, good for some i know, the pizza,s are tasty and fresh, and with an approach of less is more , i totally agree,it is more than enough for the two of us.
the pizza with pumpkin, chicken  was great .
the other pizza i can suggest had a fig jam on it and was really tasty, could have had more jam , but was great.
this also inspired me to buy some fig  with apple and Chardonnay chutney, from the little gourmet shop at the mezz, in mt hawthorn, a shop well worth a look.
overall really nice food.

fresca pasta

normally really nice pasta, however on a Monday night things change, the pasta was dry and sticking together, and lacked flavour, a carbonara is not a hard thing to get right, the pizza was OK , normally i am nothing but a big wrap for this place , but on this occasion it fell far short.
we will try again and hopefully will be better, i hope it is , its normally a great feed.

perugino

What can i say, after being seated in the foyer, i was asked if i would like a pre dinner drink, being an Italian restaurant i went for the peroni beer, this was served by the waiter in the foyer as we waited to be seated.
after being seated we were shown the menu,  i asked the waiter if the chef would just cook what he likes, while my wife ordered from the menu.
the chef then came to the table and asked if there was any foods i couldn't eat, i said just cook.
i had in total that night around 5 courses, not big courses , just samples of the main dishes.
from pasta , to baby goat, after my 3 meal arrived i started to think how much is on my credit card.
He then offered me a red wine to try, being more than happy so far, i thought why not, i had never had a glass of wine in my life, and to this day i have no idea what it was, but it was very nice.
we finished the night with a coffee.
this was without doubt, one of the best experiences, i have had in a long time.
The bill did arrive and it was cheaper than i thought.
i can do nothing but recommend perugino, it was great.
with staff that really cared.

the como

The Como,  lunch,  had rump steak, med rare, mushroom sauce, mashed potato.
with deep fried leek, about 200 grams of the stuff.
mash was nice, and apparently had truffle in it.
anyway, i am certain the steak had been in the microwave, and it was medium rare, on about a third of it, the other two thirds was well done.
the sauce and mash were tasty, and it was big enough.
the price of a meal these days,  is somewhat costly, given the economic state of the country.
however, i did think that the prices of the Como were fair enough.
Would i go to the Como for a meal again,  perhaps, but i will order a salad.
The staff that served me , were ok and took my order in a short amount of time.
overall the Como was ok, but wont rush back.

perth food

Hi all, i have decided to create a blog about the food in perth , this is in no way intended to hurt the reputation of any restaurant, hotel or cafe.
i dont know about you, but i often leave after a meal out, thinking why did i bother, i can do better myself, and sometimes this goes way beyond the food, how many of us have sat at a table, to be waited on by a person, who quite clearly would rather be out with friends, no doubt , i would rather do many things other than work, but when at work at least look like you care.
having said that i also intend to name the places that in my opinion, do a great job.
this is simply just my opinion.
i hope that this is of help to both patrons, and staff of all outlets in perth.
I encourage as many comments as you want to give.
people will say its just a matter of opinion, and my opinion wont matter.
but i will give it anyway.
